KAREN MCPHERSON – producer, director, writer

Born and raised in Germany, Karen started her film and television career as a camera operator at a TV station in the German city of Erfurt. Karen emigrated to Australia at the age of 21 and commenced studying Film and Television at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.  Starting out as a focus puller Karen worked on Australian and German feature film productions until transitioning into film directing. Since then she has created content for film, television and digital platforms such as documentaries, television commercials, music videos, and an award winning campaign trailer for SBS. Her award winning short films screened at Australian and international film festivals.
